New England Design - New Site

Web site: www.newenglanddesign.com A Connecticut Design Company, New England Design, asked us to help them redesign and launch a new site that would showcase their creative talents in the field of Architectural Design. Their portfolio boasts of a wide range of projects from custom homes for clients to extravagant resorts and casinos.

The site features a custom Content Management System with a portfolio that utilizes the database to manage the projects and project images. This allows the client to add projects to the portfolios themselves with ease. The site map(Project List) is also dynamic so whenever the client adds a project, the site map will automatically add the new project to the correct portfolio section.

5 Free or Low Cost Ways of Marketing Your Business in the Down Economy

In today’s economy, everyone is feeling the pinch, yet it is still necessary to market your business. Below we have 5 Free or Low Cost ways to market your business. Hopefully you’re already trying some of them or will put some into practice within the next couple of weeks. Enjoy!

1. Is Your USP Boldly Shown To Your Customers?
The most powerful tool in your marketing toolbox is to stand head and shoulders above your competitors. Does your Unique Selling Proposition separate you from others in your field? Your USP should explain the benefits your customers/clients can expect to receive when they choose your business rather than the others.

2. Increase Your Value per Sale
Try packaging your products/services to increase the value of each sale. For example, if you owned a beauty salon, you could offer a coupon book of 6 visits/hair cuts for the price of 4/5. By doing that you’ve just increased the value of that sale and you’ve locked that customer/client to you for the rest of the year/half year/etc. Think of ways that you can try this in your own business.

3. Bouncebacks – Increase the Value Of Your Customer
Offer a coupon good toward their next purchase/visit. Gets them coming back.

4. Bounceback + Referral – Increase the Value of Customer + More Customers/Clients
Give your customer/client a coupon good for their next purchase/visit along with one for a friend when they both come back together. Customer-10% / Friend-20%

5. Follow Up – Customer Loyalty
Do you have a system in place to follow up with your customers/clients? Did you know that approximately 68% of all business lost is due to not following up with the customer/client after a sale? It is much easier and cheaper to retain customers/clients who have done business with you already than it is to go out and get new ones. Also keep this in mind for referrals. If you are consistently keeping your name in front of them, they will be more likely to refer you to their friends when someone is looking for the services/products you offer.

Updating CMS scripts for clients

I’m in the process of updating the CMS scripts for clients’ sites this week. So if any of you log into your admin area and see that things look different, that is why.

I have been updating the CMS admin guides for you to make changes to your site pages.
You can download them from the Client Area.

Wordpress has been upgraded to version 2.7 and the administration area has changed significantly.

CMSMS hasn’t changed that much so you should still be familiar with things there.

Special Offer for Service Providers

Service Providers Web Site Package

We have recently designed a package deal created specifically for service businesses.

It includes a custom designed site that is set up using Content Management Software that allows you to easily edit/add/modify the content of your site yourself. This saves you time and money without having to be set up on any type of monthly maintenance plan.

If you can type up an email or edit a word document, you can just as easily make changes to your own site! We’ll teach you how and give you step by step instructions.

We use several different type of Content Management Systems, such as Wordpress, CMS Made Simple, or Joomla depending on the needs of your site.

As part of this package deal, we also offer special financing for service providers. Rather than the industry standard of 50% up front and 50% on delivery, we offer this package deal split into 6 monthly payments. The total cost of the web site package will depend on the size of the site, the amount of graphic design needed, number of images placed on the site, etc.

On average it will run between $1,200 – $1,800 for these types of sites.

If this is something you’d like to discuss in more detail regarding your business, please contact us to learn more!

This special is available for a limited time. It will be discontinued at our discretion.
