One of the best ways to increase your credibility with prospects is to have amazing testimonials. The easiest way to do this is ask your favorite clients.
You can do this easily by just sending out a quick email to them.
To get awesome testimonials, you want them to list specifics such as how their life or business has improved since working with you, how much time they’ve been able to save or how much money they’ve made since you’ve worked with them.
Here’s a simple to use script you can copy and paste into an email and send out to them (just modify it for your business).

I’m just updating my marketing materials and would like to include some examples of how I’ve helped some of the people I’ve worked with and I’d like to include you.
Would you be willing to help me by writing down a couple of lines about how I’ve specifically helped you?
For example, was the web design process easy or done quickly enough for your needs, did I explain everything to you in easy to understand terms, the training I provided for managing the site was simple to follow, have you had an increase in orders or complements about the site, etc.
I’m looking to get this completed over the next 2 weeks, so if you could get something back to me by 3/15/11, I would really appreciate it.

Make sure you add a deadline for them to get it back to you that way it doesn’t get pushed to the back of their mind and forgotten.
Once you get the testimonials back, add them to your marketing materials such as your website, printed ads, brochures, etc.
Your “To Do” item for the week: Pick 3-5 clients that you’ve had amazing success with and ask them for a testimonial. Bonus points if you can get them to do a video testimonial! 😉
