This month has been a time for re evaluation for me in terms of self, business, and life. Last week I read a post by a fellow blogger, Elizabeth titled “You Allow The Moment“.
It was so inspiring to me and came at just the right time. I urge you to take a few minutes to go and read it. I don’t want to write too much about it for fear of ruining your experience, but it will definitely impact the way you think…
So how ’bout you?
Is there one thing in your business that you’ve been afraid to try? You’d love to do it, but fear the results; it’s not the way most other businesses run, you’ll offend too many people, it’s a possible financial risk?
Think of the worst possible outcome and answer the following question: “Would It Kill You?”
If not, I challenge you to go ahead and give it a try. You may be surprised at the outcome.
One of my biggest fears was beginning to write posts to my site “in my own voice”. I was afraid of offending some people. Yes, I swear occasionally and my content or language might not be G-rated at all times, but that’s the way I speak everyday. I pushed past my fears knowing that the ones who might take offense probably aren’t my best customers/clients anyway.
Have I lost business because of it? Not that I know of but then, I’ve only just begun. 😉
What are you going to do to push out of your comfort zone this week? If you’re still scared and need a bit of support, please give me a call and I’ll help give you the shove gentle push to get you started. 🙂
